"Schon der Titel des ersten Liedes, "Hikkikomori" fasst die Stimmung, die die japanische Pianistin Reiko Matane aka Le Mépris auf ihrem selbstbetitelten Release aufbaut, punktgenau zusammen. Als Hikkikomori bezeichnet man in Japan besonders Jugendliche, die sich aus der Gesellschaft ausklinken und ganz in ihr Zimmer oder ihre Wohnung zurückziehen. Sie brechen jeglichen Kontakt mit ihrer Außenwelt ab und verbringen die Zeit ausschließlich mit sich selbst bzw. in der digitalen Gegenwelt (Spiele etc.).
